Thinking About Your Life Purpose

“The person without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder.”
Thomas Carlyle

Some people exist while others live. They are just like the fig tree that gets nutrients from the soil but refused to bear any fruit.
Every individual has been endowed with talents, abilities, potentials that would transform his life if identified and utilized.
Sadly, many people live the life of mediocrity and frustration because they do not know how to discover this inherent genius.

A purpose is an intention, a resolution or a decision to discover, pursue and achieve that plan of action for your life. So, a ‘life purpose’ is nothing more than a resolution or commitment to live in certain way to achieve specific objectives for your good and that of humanity.

Your life purpose is very much like a journey.
• The things you love to do are the vehicle you travel in.
• Your natural talents are the map that shows you how to get to your destination.
• The things that are important to you are the destination.
• Your passion is the fuel that powers the whole operation.

With every purpose, you need:

1) An enthusiasm for it. (Your passions)
2) A commitment to it. (Important to you)
3) A tangible way to share it with the world. (Activities you love to do)
4) The ability to do it well. (Your natural talents)
When these things come together, you have got a virtual explosion of passion, meaning, fulfillment, empowerment – and purpose.

Many of us have lived many years on earth without actually asking and answering the question “why am I created and what am I supposed to achieve in life.” These people are yet to find the right numbers in their order to unlock their potentials and get the best out of life.
Who are you? How do you want to live your life? Do you want success and how do you want to play the game to achieve it? Do you want to play in the big leagues or in little league, in the majors or the minors? It is your choice. But hear this. It is not about you. It is about living your mission. It is about living true to your purpose. It is about adding your piece of the puzzle to the world. It is about serving others.
See you at the best of your life.
